July 26, 2009 Ralph:I attended both Cooley and MacKenzie High schools in the 60's. Detroit is dead now. It looks like bombed out Berlin after WWII. It's too dangerous to be anywhere in the city at anytime. I went to Cortland Street to see my old home and chased out by a gang of thugs. Goodbye Detroit, it was nice knowing you back then. August 9, 2009 Donna:I attended Redford High School in the mid 70's. I hear now it's closed down. Sorry to hear that. I live in Georgia but do miss my home and have many fond memories. I've heard about the state of things there that too is very sad. I still love the place no matter. September 16, 2009 Patty :I remember Detroit back in the late 50's-early 60's. I used to live in Windsor, and we'd go over to 'the states' to shop. It's sad to see the decline of this city. I'd love to see it before all this happened... November 13, 2009 Yodo:To those bashing Detroit "GET A LIFE". Now, to those who haven't experienced a traffic jam in the tunnel. Personally I think it sucks, go off peak hours, M Thru Friday anytime of the day expect rush hour, early morning late night hours are good too. Trucks aren't that bad so bridge is usually a better choice if you find the tunnel is backed up!.. Especially going into the U.S side as it can take an hour or 2 to get thru depending on how much Stubborn Custom Agents our on duty. Detroit still has a lot to offer for example The Detroit Symphony, The Fox Theater, Great sports teams. It's suburbs have the best shopping, anywhere... example The Somerset Collection in Troy. January 11, 2010 Rudy Meo:I was born in Detroit on Jos Campau Ave. Attended Barbour Intermediate and Cass Tech. Came to California in 1944 and have been back many times. It is SAD to see the deterioration of a once beautiful city. How could this happen??? Better yet, why did it happen??? January 15, 2010 GATOGARRY:The tunnel has served to benefit Canadian and American relations in trade and industry for many years.
